Head injuries often occur during sports activity. A common injury that has been spoken of in the press lately is CTE.

Recent news headlines have presented information on the tragic death of Junior Seau.

Junior Seau was a former professional football player who recently took his own life do to what many experts believe to be a condition called CTE.

This has brought the public’s attention to the signs and symptoms of CTE.

According to the Washington Post, CTE is a real risk for football players.

In this article, We will look into the natural options available to help people suffering from CTE such as remedy’s, nutrition and Alternative Healthcare.

CTE stands for Chronic Traumatic Encepalopathy.

Chronic (long standing, weeks, months, years)

Traumatic (trauma, injury, forceful)

Encephalopathy (a condition of the head, cranium or brain)

-opathy means “a condition of”

Q: A condition of what?

A: Whatever it is attached to, such as Neuropathy, which is a
condition of the nerves.

The word Chronic denotes old or longstanding, whereas Acute means resent or just happened.

For CTE to become Chronic it has to start with Acute. Acute Traumatic Encephalitis is what happened originally and was not managed correctly to prevent the injury from progressing to a Chronic longstanding issue.

Q:  What can I do as an athlete to prevent CTE?

A: The best thing to do is to prevent the trauma, but in football this kind of trauma happens often.

So the next best thing is to figure out how to properly treat it, when the injury happens.

The brain is in a hard shell, the skull. When it gets shaken around hard in the skull it gets bruised, so to speak, this causes possible broken blood vessels and inflammation of the tissue of the brain.

This is not a good thing to have to deal with but there are steps that can prevent the progression into CTE.

Prevention is the best thing. The next best thing is proper care and treatment of the inflammation immediately.

Q:  What is inflammation?

A:  It is fluid accumulation and heat, on the brain that is really serious.

As we have seen with the suicides of many of our famed athletes who experienced the Acute Head Trauma in their careers.

When Acute Traumatic head injury occurs (concussion, black out, disorientation) immediate action needs to begin.

Therapy of many sorts need to be instituted,

  • Supplements to help reduce the inflammation and muscle involvement
  • Chiropractic evaluation to rule out neck injury and correct it if needed.
  • Acupuncture is a very big help with removing blockages to energy flow in the cranial area.
  • Quantum Biofeedback is also recommended. This multi-dimentional protocol needs to be implemented immediately and continue for 4-6 weeks, this is the most important time to do the work, if not it will turn into CTE.

I can assure you that these athletes that have had head injury had medical care, yet we see the results as not being very productive in reversing the damage done.

We have seen that this should not be the only option for it may lead to unbearable symptoms and suicide even in the most powerful people.

When Medical care has been the only care, the same protocol needs to be instituted with a few adjustments (no pun intended) and will need to be applied for a longer peiod of time.

Q: What are some of the signs for us to recognize in our friends and love ones that they may be suffering from CTE?

A:  Symptoms of CTE can include but are not limited to Withdrawal, Depression, vision problems, headaches, slurred speech, change in personality, angry outbursts or emotional extremes, balance issues, sleep problems like Insomnia as well as abuse of drugs or alcohol to cover up the pain.

They may say “I just don’t feel like myself”.

I am a fan of people, right living, proper remedies for injury and health issues, Health, Natural Healthcare, and Longevity

I am not necessarily a fan of aggressive sports, because of the trauma sustained by so many during practice and games.

If Medical Health Care worked for this kind of injury there would be a possibility that these men would not have committed suicide.

In my opinion, I believe they asked for help from their Medical Doctors and most likely received more drugs to mask symptoms that never addressed the underlying issues.

Q: Then what is the answer to help those with CTE?

A: The answer is Holistic Natural Healthcare that includes proper nutrition, Natural Remedies, Chiropractic care, Acupuncture, Quantum Biofeedback and Prayer.
